July was a historic month for Jesus In A Bar and if you read to the end you’ll find out why. On July 2nd Manuel Calderon performed for the patients at Trivecca and on the 16th Garrett Dearing brought the show down to the Green Hills Location. On the 22nd we took a trip to West Haven near Franklin and invaded a restaurant/bar called Kokomos owned by our good friend Jason Tucker. Our team of musicianaries were Jude Smith, Brock Nasson, Whitlee Casey, Harrison Hackett, Omer Netzer, and Grace Graber. Toward the end of the his set, Harrison Hackett announced that he had been given notice at his job on the way to the show. He spoke of how convicted he was by the experience, confirming that God was good no matter what the circumstance. Grace Graber said a prayer publicly for him on stage inviting the rest of the bar to join in. We love when Jesus In A Bar becomes more than just a performance. We love to watch the audience become a part of the movement by praying and worshipping. We saw a small glimpse of this Monday night at Kokomos. On July 30th we made history by having artists in both a prison and nursing home on the same day! Setnik Scene, Katy Reynolds, and Adam Laverdiere spent an afternoon worshipping with inmates inside the Tourney Center while, a little over an hour away, Racheal Jeanette
brought joy to patients at the Green Hills rehabilitation center. Praise God for the doors he is opening and for our amazing muscianaires eager to share their gifts with the forgotten and broken.
To God Be The Glory!
Jesus is Lord!
